Parish Sacramental Education Program for Children of Public Schools
Sr. Rochelle Lamb - Parish Sacramental Co-ordinator, coordinates the programs with our Catholic primary schools and prepares children from public schools, to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. The parents/guardians are an important part of this preparation and are required to participate in all the sessions along with the children.

Baptism Preparation Team
The Baptism Formation team provides information for parents wanting to baptise their children from infant to 5 years old. At the information session, the team provides brief explanation of the Baptism ceremony; the symbols used during the service and confirm the Baptism details. They also discuss the importance of the parents and the godparents’ role in bringing up their child in the Catholic faith. Baptism information evenings are done every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7 pm at Our Lady’s Church and Baptisms are celebrated every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation – (RCIA) is a process established by the Catholic Church for adults who want to become Catholic. Seekers and inquirers are either non-baptized adults who desire full initiation into the Roman Catholic Church OR baptized adult Christians who desire full communion in the Roman Catholic Church.
This journey takes place through four distinct stages over a period suitable to bring about a thorough catechesis, significant experience of the parish community, and commitment to the liturgical and moral life of the Catholic faithful. Those who enter the process are preferably required to begin attending Mass, participate in faith formation activities, and to become increasingly involved in the activities of their local parish.
Throughout the process, lay catechists assist candidates and the Priests "have the responsibility of attending to the pastoral and personal care of the catechumens." The RCIA process runs approximately for 10 months beginning August and finishing in May of the following year. Enquiries are welcome at any time of the year. Please contact the RCIA Leader/Parish Office for registration.

A Word from our Parish Priest

We welcome all parishioners, visitors, and pilgrims to Our Lady’s Parish, Craigieburn & Roxburgh.

Our Faith in Christ Jesus, is one that encourages us not only to live in communion with our God, but also in communion with one another, supporting and assisting each other as we continue to grow and deepen our love of God and neighbour.

Our Lady’s Church is a beacon of faith in our local community and beyond, where Christ is the centre of our liturgical and parish life. Our treasure is the people, and our gem is in our diversity of cultures that come together. We are all on a journey to God and through the liturgy of the Eucharist daily and particularly on weekends; we get an opportunity to join others in our worship of our Living God.

We hope you had the opportunity to worship and participate in our ministries already, but if not we warmly invite you to become part of this great parish.

With Christ’s blessings,

Fr. Varghese Kurisingal
